The Gould Group is an executive search firm for middle and upper level management professionals in marketing, marketing communications and sales.
The Gould Group was founded in 1995 with the intent of serving as a quality provider of recruiting services, in the eyes of clients and candidates alike.

Jay Gould founded The Gould Group with an entrepreneurial spirit and a frustration over the caliber of headhunters that had contacted him over time.   Jay set out in 1995 to provide a higher quality consulting-based relationship with clients and candidates alike. Almost 10 years later, The Gould Group continues to succeed in this mission.
Prior to starting The Gould Group, Jay spent his career in the advertising and publishing industries with Campbell Mithun, Chuck Ruhr and Sietsema Engel & Partners advertising agencies, and with the Minneapolis Star Tribune newspaper. His primary responsibilities included marketing and media management and business development. He has served as an officer at the local and national levels of the American Advertising Federation. Jay graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor's degree in journalism. While he has never published a book, another couple of years in the search business will give him plenty of "ammunition" to do so.

In his free time Jay enjoys bicycling, playing racquetball and golf, jamming on his bass guitar, getting into a good novel and being "on call" for his wife, Sherri, and three children, Ross, Marc and Liza.
